FAMIMORA – TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. Acceptance of Terms

1.1 By using FamiMora ("FamiMora", "we", "our", "the Service") you agree to these Terms & Conditions ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1.2 FamiMora is a Christian dating/community platform designed primarily for Nigerian Christian singles around the world, and open to Christians worldwide who respect this focus and our values.

1.3 You must be 18 or older and able to form a legally binding contract to use FamiMora.

1.4 These Terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales. Courts of England & Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.

2. Accounts, Eligibility & Verification

2.1 You agree to provide true, current, and complete information and to keep it updated.

2.2 To help keep our community safe and sincere, FamiMora may require one or more of the following:

  • Email verification
  • Mobile phone verification (one-time code)
  • Location checks (approximate location / city & country)

2.3 We may use trusted third-party providers to perform verification. You consent to the processing necessary for these checks.

2.4 One person = one account. You may not create an account for someone else or impersonate any person.

3. Community Standards (Faith, Respect & Safety)

3.1 FamiMora is a Christian-values community. All members must treat others with respect, kindness, and honesty.

3.2 Not allowed: harassment, bullying, hate, threats, obscene or sexually explicit material, illegal activity, fraud, nudity, requests for money, "sugar" arrangements, hookup solicitation, spam, political campaigning, or content attacking anyone's faith or ethnicity.

3.3 Profiles, photos, and videos must be a true likeness of you; heavy filters, AI faces, stock photos, or celebrity images are not allowed.

3.4 Keep initial communications on the platform. Do not post phone numbers, emails, social handles, or links in your public profile.

3.5 English is the default site language; be clear and respectful in all communications.

3.6 We may moderate, edit, or remove content that breaches these Terms.

4. Anti-Scam & Fake Profiles

4.1 Zero tolerance. We actively screen and monitor for fake profiles, romance fraud, advance-fee requests, crypto/forex "investment" pitches, and any attempt to move chats off-platform to solicit money.

4.2 If we reasonably believe an account is involved in fraud or other unlawful activity, we may suspend or terminate the account without notice and preserve and share relevant information with law-enforcement authorities where legally permitted.

4.3 You agree never to send or request money or gifts from anyone you meet on FamiMora. Report any suspicious behaviour immediately to support@famimora.com or via the in-app tools.

5. Subscriptions, Fees & Cancellations

5.1 Some features are free; others require a paid subscription. Current prices are shown on the Subscribe / Plans page.

5.2 Subscriptions auto-renew each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel any time in your account settings; access continues until the end of the paid term.

5.2a If you would like to cancel your subscription from rebilling, please contact us at support@famimora.com.

5.3 Cooling-off (UK/EU consumers): You have 14 days from purchase to cancel for a refund unless you access paid features during that period, which is your express request to start the service and waives the right to a refund for that period.

5.4 Except as required by law or the cooling-off rule above, fees are non-refundable.

6. Your Content & Our Rights

6.1 You keep ownership of the content you upload but grant FamiMora a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, and moderate it for the purpose of operating the Service.

6.2 Do not upload anything you do not own or have permission to use. You confirm your uploads do not infringe any third-party rights.

6.3 We may remove content or suspend accounts that breach these Terms or applicable law.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service
  • Scrape, harvest, or mass-message users
  • Post or transmit malware or malicious code
  • Create multiple or duplicate accounts
  • Share another person's private information without consent
  • Intimidate, harass, defraud, or solicit money
  • Upload violent, pornographic, or hateful content

8. Safety Tips (Not a Warranty)

8.1 FamiMora works hard to verify members, but no online platform can guarantee every user's identity or intentions. Please use common sense and follow our safety guidance.

8.2 Meet in public places, tell a friend, and never send money or financial details.

9. Suspension & Termination

9.1 You may close your account at any time.

9.2 We may suspend or terminate your account (with or without notice) if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, provided false information, engaged in fraud or harassment, or otherwise put the community at risk.

9.3 Where appropriate, we may report suspected criminal activity to relevant authorities and cooperate with lawful requests.

10. Third-Party Services & Payments

10.1 We may integrate third-party tools (e.g. payment processors, SMS/email providers). Their terms and privacy practices apply to their services.

10.2 FamiMora is not responsible for third-party websites, content, or transactions.

11. Service Changes

11.1 We may update, improve, or change features (including temporarily suspending the Service) for technical or business reasons.

11.2 We may update these Terms. We'll post the new version with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use means you accept the changes.

12. Disclaimers & Liability

12.1 The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free operation or perfect matches.

12.2 To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for loss of profit, loss of data, loss of goodwill, or any indirect or consequential loss.

12.3 Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of the Service will not exceed £500, except for liability that cannot be limited by law.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless FamiMora, its owners, officers, employees, and agents from claims, losses, or costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your breach of these Terms, or your misuse of the Service.

14. Intellectual Property

14.1 The FamiMora name, logo, designs, and the Site/App are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written consent.

14.2 You confirm you own or have rights to the content you upload and grant us the limited licence described in section 6.

15. Data & Privacy

We collect and use personal data as described in our Privacy Policy, including for verification, safety, support, analytics, and legal compliance. We keep your data secure and only for as long as necessary.

17. General

17.1 If a court finds any part of these Terms invalid, the rest remains in force.

17.2 No waiver of any term is a continuing waiver.

17.3 Neither party is liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond reasonable control.
